"Otentic Guitars" may not immediately ring a bell. It is a brand based in the Benelux. Otentic guitars are "Hand Assembled". This means that at Otentic they are constantly looking for the best price/quality ratio for parts, necks and bodies, often sourced from top suppliers (Gotoh, Schaller, Wilkinson, etc.) and starting from there to build a top quality instrument. It sounds simple but it did take the guys at Otentic years to put together an instrument good enough to meet their own critical standards. As such, Otentic Guitars claims to deliver "custom shop" quality for the price of a mid-range instrument.
At Otentic, there is no band work, just handwork. Each guitar is finished to the last screw by one person. This also ensures constant quality control. A guitar does not leave Otentic until it is completely in order and perfectly tuned. For the pickups, the Canadian J-S Moore guarantees. His hand-wound pickups produce an exceptionally clear sound.
