Finlandia Instruments Costellobird has been built in cooperation with Costello Hautamäki. The root model for the guitar has been the JAK-minibird, which served Costello for years. Costellobird´s materials, parts and microphones are the same as the original. Important improvements were made to the guitar to improve the structure and playing feel.
The most important of these are the 2-action truss rod, the production of the neck from two pieces, the reinforcement of the top with ebony veneer, and the correct neck and shoulder angle. With these changes, the sound and tone of the guitar were improved considerably.
Costellobirds are built entirely by hand in sets of five from carefully selected materials. Each Costellobird is numbered and signed by Costello. This one bears number #009. Comes with hard shell case and stops the scale at only 2.9 kg.
