Taking it all the way back to the era of the Jazzmaster’s debut, the Fender Road Worn ‘60s Jazzmaster is a near-perfect replica of a period-correct Jazzmaster as it would most likely look today–weathered from years of love and music. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish is a deliberately aged interpretation of the beautiful Fender originals. The pau ferro fingerboard improves articulation and feel. Dual American Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster pickups are specially-voiced and wound to be perfect matches for the original single-coils, and the vintage-inspired hardware set and classic Jazzmaster circuitry and controls cap off this perfect remake of one of Fender’s most legendary offset designs.
About Fender Road Worn Series:
Founded by Leo Fender in 1938 as Fender’s Radio Service, what is now the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation began making electric guitars and amplifiers in 1945. The rest, as they say, is history. Creator of the world’s first mass-produced, and by far most popular, solid-bodied electric, Fender is now the world’s leading guitar manufacturer.
Those of us who love vintage understand the beauty of history and the instruments that bear theirs with pride. All the licks, lumps, and luster of time are boldly brandished as a catalog of a life hard-lived and shows hard-played. The Fender Road Worn Series honors these guitars with lovingly reliced models representing iconic decades in Fender’s history.
