This is real piece of Finnish rock history, or should we say "himstory".
Rambo's Last Dance
Touring Razorblade Romance in 2000 felt like forever, and I was forced to start writing the next album in hotel rooms, dressing rooms and tour buses.
All I needed was a guitar.
I already adored Elvis at the time and thought that if I find myself a J-200 by Gibson, all my troubles would vanish.
Unfortunately that didn't happen but I did end up with a guitar on which I wrote pretty much the next four HIM albums and strummed it quite a bit on stage too.
I wanted to go against the grain and not name the guitar after a significant female in my life, but instead picked my then-favourite Sylvester Stallone character, Rambo.
This became a theme over the years, with Cobra and others, but that's another story completely.
This guitar has seen it all, the good, bad and the horrific, and when HIM disbanded in 2017 I thought it's the right time to lay it gently in its case, waiting for a brighter future I was never able to give him.
Rambo is dead, Long live Rambo!
Cheers,
Ville
